Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Cardiac Stepdown unit in Oklahoma City, offering $30-46 per hour based on experience. The RN will provide critical nursing care, ensure effective communication with patients and families, and assist physicians as needed.

Minimum requirements include a valid RN license from Oklahoma, with additional certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS to be obtained post-hire. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care in a hospital to various patients.
• Documents patient responses and notes changes in orders.
• Assists physician in examinations and procedures.
• Administers medication and monitors intravenous infusions.
• Interacts with patient and family regarding care.

Skills

Knowledge of professional nursing theory

Ability to organize and coordinate nursing services

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to respond to cultural and language needs

Some computer skills

Education
