Job summary

Utah State University Extension seeks a Youth Educator to engage Weber County youth with hands-on STEM learning through 4-H programs and Aggie Camps. The role focuses on outreach, volunteer recruitment, and community partnerships to expand 4-H impact.

The position reports to the Weber County 4-H Program Coordinator and supports team priorities. Availability includes afternoons during the school year and daytime summer activities, with a focus on teamwork and youth development.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 6 months making positive youth experiences or related activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a collaborative setting.
• Preferred: knowledge of STEM and Spanish language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support Weber County 4-H team goals and priorities.
• Organize and teach workshops and Aggie Camps throughout the year and summer.
• Build partnerships with other agencies to grow the 4-H program in Weber County.
• Recruit and assist adult and youth volunteers to grow the program.
• Coordinate portions of programs under the 4-H Program Coordinator.
• Prepare facilities, supplies, schedules, and materials; assist with data collection and reporting.
