Job summary

Kids in Tech SPARK AmeriCorps Program in Massachusetts seeks AmeriCorps Members to deliver school-day tutoring and after-school STEAM enrichment to elementary and middle school students. You will lead hands-on coding, robotics, engineering, and digital literacy activities, reinforcing instruction and supporting families during Family STEM Nights.

As a 1200-hour, full-time service member, you will receive professional development, a living allowance, and an Education Award upon completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in education, STEAM, youth development, and community service.
• Commitment to 1200 hours of service and AmeriCorps requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group tutoring in coding, robotics, engineering, computational thinking, and digital literacy.
• Reinforce teacher-directed instruction and facilitate hands-on STEM activities.
• Prepare instructional materials and support Family STEM Nights; complete required documentation and training.
