Job summary

Santa Fe College Learning Commons is seeking a STEM Tutor to provide one-on-one tutoring in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and other STEM subjects. The position supports both in-person and online sessions at NW Learning Commons, the RISE Center, and College Centers.

You will mentor new tutors, participate in CRLA training, and help connect students with campus resources. Ideal candidates hold an AA/AS/AAS, maintain good academic standing, and may join the embedded tutoring program.

Qualifications

• Must have earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) OR Associate of Science (A.S.) OR Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.), or equivalent certification, and be in good academic and behavioral standing.
• Background check will be conducted.
• Meet criteria: subject proficiency and/or instructor approval or supervisor endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in-person and online.
• Promote active learning and support-seeking behavior.
• Maintain welcoming, inclusive environment for all learners.
• Log tutoring sessions and maintain records via CRM.
• Assist with campus events, workshops, and resource development.
• Mentor new tutors and participate in training programs.
