Job summary

The University of New Mexico’s Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) is hiring Fall 2026 tutors to support Math and Science in our drop-in center. Tutors help fellow Lobos while strengthening their own content mastery and tutoring skills; accreditation is earned through CRLA during each semester.

Applicants should have done well in relevant classes; tutoring experience is welcome but not required. Preference for work‑study students; bilingual Spanish tutoring is especially valued.

Qualifications

• Students must have done well in their classes and be excited to help peers.
• Tutoring experience is appreciated but not required.
• Preference for work-study students; Spanish tutoring is valued.
• Applicants should have completed the courses they intend to tutor; typically a B+ or higher.

Responsibilities

• Tutor Math and Science in the CTL drop‑in center.
• Support fellow Lobos and help them master course content.
• Gain accreditation through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
• Occasional online shifts may be available; most hours in person.
