Job summary

Treobytes, a San Diego nonprofit, seeks a Program Assistant to support North County programs through the full life cycle from planning to execution. You will develop systems, manage documentation, and ensure high operational standards while coordinating with school partners and families.

The role involves supervising facilitators and interns, delivering hands-on programs, and maintaining data and reports for funders. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience writing lesson plans or instructional materials.
• Knowledge of youth development and positive behavior management for students in grades K–8.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; good judgment and multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Act as a role model for the team with professionalism and integrity.
• Manage program timelines and track progress to stay on schedule.
• Coordinate site logistics and communicate clearly with families and partners.
• Train, mentor, and supervise facilitators and volunteers.
• Fill teaching roles when staffing gaps arise and support classrooms.
