Mad Science of Washington DC is seeking fun, high-energy performers to lead hands-on science workshops for elementary students across the DMV. You supply the energy and reliability while we provide the curriculum, gear, and scripts.

This part-time role offers flexible hours, no lesson planning, and opportunities to travel between schools and community centers across the DMV area. A reliable vehicle and strong classroom management are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year managing groups of 10+ elementary-aged kids.
• Own a reliable car to transport kits to event sites.
• Punctuality with schedule confirmations within 24 hours.
• Willing to clear state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy, interactive science workshops and theatrical demonstrations for elementary school–aged children.
• Inspire and turn complex science concepts into hands-on fun.
• Travel to various schools, community centers, and event locations across the DMV area.
