Job summary

Weber State University Department of Automotive Technology is seeking a WSU PREP Site Coordinator and Outreach Intern to support Center for Technology Outreach programming, plan and execute events, and manage setup and teardown across multiple venues.

The role includes acting in a leadership capacity for the summer enrichment program serving about 150 students in grades 7–9, overseeing nine program assistants, coordinating schedules with families and staff, and ensuring supplies and paperwork

Qualifications

• Two years of completed college coursework in science, math, engineering, technology or education or related areas.
• Experience working with the WSU PREP or other PREP program (UVU or AIS) for one or more summers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, execute and take down at multiple STEM outreach events.
• Lead the WSU PREP summer enrichment program for about 150 students and oversee nine program assistants.
• Coordinate schedules, communicate with students, parents and staff, and ensure supplies and paperwork are organized.
• Ensure drop-off and pick-up procedures are followed and assist the Program Manager as needed.
