Job summary

Snapology in Overland Park, KS is seeking part-time instructors to teach Snapology programs. You will promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while introducing students to STEM concepts for ages 2-14.

Lead groups, monitor activities, manage behavior, prepare for programs by reading curriculum and training, and communicate with parents. Training and development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Criminal and Child Clearances must be current.
• 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
• Education degree or teaching experience recommended; candidates pursuing education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with Snapology policies.
• Encourage and monitor individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies.
• Prepare for each program by reading curriculum and watching training videos.
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.
• Encourage enrollment in future Snapology programs.
• Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings.
