Job summary

Snapology of Johnson County – Overland Park, KS is seeking a part‑time Instructor to teach Snapology programs. Instructors promote creativity, teamwork and problem solving while introducing STEM concepts to children aged 2–14.

You will represent the Snapology organization to parents and students with professionalism. Workload varies: 6–30 hours per week across after‑school, weekend workshops, summer camps and special events.

Qualifications

• Criminal and Child Clearances must be current.
• 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment.
• Education degree or teaching experience recommended; candidates pursuing education also considered.
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships and meet schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with program policies.
• Prepare for each program by reviewing curriculum and training materials.
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs.
• Encourage enrollment in future Snapology programs.
• Participate in required training and staff meetings.
