Job summary

Snapology is seeking an After-School Instructor to teach Snapology programs in a fun, engaging way for ages 5–14. You will promote creativity, teamwork, problem-solving, and STEAM concepts while representing the Snapology brand with professionalism.

This part-time role offers paid training, early-evening/weekend opportunities, and potential summer hours. You’ll work in a supportive environment with LEGO/ROBOTICS-based programs and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Criminal and Child Clearances current or willing to undergo screening (reimbursed)
• 2+ years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment
• Classroom teaching experience preferred; teachers pursuing a degree in education will be considered
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
• Reliable transportation to transport materials and supplies
• Ability to lift 20 lbs without difficulty

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 24 students through curriculum-guided activities
• Transport learning materials to class/workshop/field trip location as needed
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and adjust teaching strategies
• Prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in training sessions
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs and encourage enrollment in future programs
• Participate in periodic Snapology training and staff meetings, as required
