Job summary

Texas State University seeks an Assistant Professor of Instruction in STEM Education within the Elementary Education EC-6 Generalist programs. You will teach STEM elementary methods courses and supervise teacher candidates during their residency, aligning with TEA requirements.

The role reports to the department chair and collaborates with education faculty. Responsibilities include developing high-quality STEM instruction, supporting accreditation standards, and engaging with PK-12 partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an education-related field from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated knowledge of teacher preparation and STEM pedagogy best practices.
• Experience teaching STEM to novice teachers during clinical experiences.

Responsibilities

• Teach STEM elementary methods courses for teacher candidates.
• Supervise teacher candidates during residency clinical experiences.
• Contribute to program improvement and department/college service.
