Job summary

Broad Institute is seeking a Program Coordinator to organize and implement K-12 STEM programming, including Educational Tours, Bio-Coding Club, and related educator programs. You will collaborate with the OSEI Associate Director to develop curricula and training, while handling scheduling, travel, and logistics as needed.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Broad staff and community partners, developing new curricula and supporting Broad Summer Scholars, with hybrid on-site work 2 days per

Qualifications

• BS in biology, computer science, science education, or related field; 2+ years experience or advanced degree.
• Experience with middle/high school students in informal STEM programs.
• Ability to develop and deliver STEM curricula.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must use good judgment to handle varied tasks.
• Independent and collaborative work style.
• Excellent public speaking, writing, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities for existing in-school STEM programs including Broad Scientists in the Classroom and Bio-Coding Club chapters.
• Provide professional development for educators to start Bio-Coding Clubs.
• Attend Science Educators Conference; recruit educators and train designees.
• Oversee NetPals and KeyPals with Cambridge School Volunteers; recruit on-site volunteers.
• Develop new curricula with Broad scientists for the Bio-Coding Club.
• Assist in coordination of Broad Summer Scholars Program for rising high school seniors.
• Recruit, coordinate, and train program volunteers from the Broad community.
• Create and maintain calendars for programs requiring regular communication with staff and partners.
• Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling, catering, data entry, and event planning.
• Maintain relationships with educators and STEM practitioners at other orgs.
• Assist in coordination and planning of all OSEI events and programs.
• Assist with scheduling and facilitating educational tours for local school groups.
• Other duties as assigned.
