Job summary

thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America, Inc. is seeking a Production Team Lead to direct day-to-day operations on the steering production line, coach operators, and ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will coordinate staffing, explain specifications, perform inspections, support continuous improvement, and escalate issues to the Supervisor while supporting a strong shift performance. This role demands leadership and commitment to lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a safe working environment by following safety and environmental policies and ensuring PPE use.
• Provides day-to-day leadership to employees and trains operators on safety, quality, and work instructions.
• Coordinates line staffing and shift rotations based on production needs.
• Executes the production plan and explains specifications to operators.
• Performs first- and last-piece inspections and reports discrepancies.
• Assists with root cause investigations and implements corrective actions.
• Ensures equipment readiness and handles changeovers per build schedule.
• Escalates issues to the Supervisor and seeks technical support when needed.
• Maintains 6S housekeeping standards and records shift results in MES.
• Contributes to process improvements and communicates line performance.
