Job summary

Zekelman Industries, Atlas Tube division, is seeking an experienced Operator in Chicago, IL to safely operate and maintain production machinery, run the seam welder, mill, and scarfing unit, perform changeovers, and communicate effectively with the production team to meet quality and production goals.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of manufacturing experience, a trade certification, strong mechanical aptitude, and basic math skills; crane certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Trade certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills; micrometers and calipers experience preferred; crane certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain production machinery safely (seam welder, mill, scarfing unit).
• Perform changeovers and communicate production updates to meet schedules.
• Maintain quality standards and follow safety policies.
