Job summary

Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks an Operator in Chicago, IL to safely operate production machinery and maintain efficient mill operations. You will run the seam welder, mill, and scarfing unit, perform changeovers, and coordinate with the production team to meet quality and output goals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of manufacturing experience, a trade certification, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Trade certification preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate seam welder, mill and scarfing unit and perform changeovers.
• Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with the mill crew.
• Follow mill schedule to meet production timelines and ensure quality.
• Calibrate micrometers at shift start and during changeovers.
• Maintain housekeeping and assist in preventive maintenance as assigned.
