Job summary

Willbanks Metals Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to manage inbound and outbound steel shipments, verify materials against documents, and maintain real-time inventory accuracy in the ERP system.

You will collaborate with Production, Sales, and Yard teams, prepare shipping paperwork, and ensure safe operation of forklifts and equipment. This role may require 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year shipping/receiving experience in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Experience in metals, fabrication, or distribution environments preferred.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel and Word; able to learn ERP systems.
• Ability to manage high-volume email and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with part numbers, heat numbers, sizes and paperwork.
• Effective communication and collaboration with production, yard, sales, drivers, and management.
• Commitment to working safely around heavy equipment and moving loads.
• Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow documented shipping/receiving processes for inbound/outbound loads.
• Verify materials against bills of lading, packing lists and work orders.
• Enter shipment/receipts into ERP and maintain real-time inventory data.
• Coordinate with Production, Sales, and Yard to stage and release material.
• Prepare shipping paperwork, bills of lading, packing lists and MTRs.
• Safely operate forklifts and equipment after training and certification.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventories of finished goods and raw material.
• Address issues with damage, shortages, or discrepancies with stakeholders.
