Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring Steel Shear Operator for a well-known and respected manufacturer in Perrysburg, OH. The Shear Operator is responsible for setting up and operating metal-cutting equipment to accurately cut and process sheet or heavy metal according to job specifications. Cardinal Staffing Services is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive compensation ($17/hour) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shift: 1st shift 6:30AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday. Overtime on Friday 6:30AM to 3PM.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate steel shears and metal-cutting equipment
• Measure and cut metal to specified dimensions
• Read and follow work orders, blueprints, or production specifications
• Inspect materials and finished cuts for accuracy and quality
• Safely load, position, and handle metal materials
• Make basic machine adjustments as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Work efficiently to meet production goals and deadlines
• Perform other production duties as needed

Requirements and Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a shear, metal-cutting equipment, or similar machinery is preferred
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus
• Ability to read measurements and use basic measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to safely handle and move metal materials
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to workplace safety
• Company requires all employees to wear steel toe footwear
