Job summary

STEELSUMMIT HOLDINGS INC in Trinity, AL, is seeking a Receiving Associate to accept inbound steel shipments, verify documents, and perform receiving inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of materials.

You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes, use calipers, tape measures, and micrometers, and follow strict safety protocols while coordinating with shipping and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Forklift operator license required; overhead crane experience preferred.
• Experience with measuring devices (calipers, tape measures, micrometers) preferred.
• Ability to read and review shipping documents and inbound shipment schedules.

Responsibilities

• Accept all shipping documents and inbound steel for authorized shipments.
• Perform receiving inspections to ensure quality and accuracy of materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and calibration of testing/measurement equipment at shift start.
• Operate PPE and safety rules; use forklifts and cranes as needed.
• Coordinate with team and provide guidance to support personnel.
• Complete administrative tasks accurately and promptly.
