Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Receiving Lead to coordinate daily receiving operations in a steel manufacturing environment in Birmingham, AL. The role prioritizes inbound materials, finished goods transfers, and staging, ensuring accuracy and safety across the process.

The ideal candidate will operate or coordinate cranes and forklifts, inspect material against POs and heat numbers, and communicate issues to Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Shipping.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience in a similar receiving/shipping role.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily receiving activities and prioritize workload.
• Ensure safe operations of cranes, forklifts, and equipment.
• Verify incoming material against purchase orders and packing lists; identify and report discrepancies.
• Stage material for production and update inventory transactions.
• Maintain clean, organized receiving and staging areas and follow safety protocols.
