Job summary

Join Mural Industrial’s Ashland, KY operation as a Project Lead for steel mill equipment remanufacturing. You’ll own repair/refurbishment jobs from scope through delivery, coordinating machining, fabrication, procurement, and scheduling across many concurrent projects.

You’ll communicate with customers, read technical prints, and drive progress with Excel/Project tracking while maintaining safety and quality on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, trades, or industrial shop experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage 20+ projects at once without losing track.
• Exceptional customer communication—you are the company’s voice for each job.
• Fluent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project (or similar tools).

Responsibilities

• Define the scope of incoming repair/refurbishment work and convert requirements into accurate production work orders.
• Pinpoint which parts to procure or refurbish; coordinate purchasing and scheduling with the Proposal Engineer and Production.
• Control the schedule and costs across a high volume of concurrent projects, keeping timelines and budgets on target.
• Serve as the customer’s primary contact from intake through shipment, providing frequent, proactive updates.
• Run risk assessments early; flag potential schedule or cost impacts before they become issues.
• Lead kick-offs and keep Sales and Production teams aligned and informed from start to finish.
• Interpret technical drawings and orchestrate machining and fabrication activities accordingly.
• Produce clear technical reports for customers and internal records.
• Maintain precise electronic documentation for every active job.
• Travel domestically and internationally 10–15% to visit customers and suppliers.
