SI Staffing in Baltimore area is seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for our Sparrows Point location. The role involves operating forklifts to move steel and metal materials in a busy warehouse and yard setting, with emphasis on safety and efficient material handling.

The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience, with preference for individuals who have handled steel/metal materials and hold a forklift certification. Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires previous forklift experience.
• Experience handling steel, metal, or heavy industrial materials preferred.
• Valid forklift certification preferred.
• Able to operate forklift around heavy, oversized loads.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and position steel and metal materials.
• Handle heavy and oversized materials following safety procedures.
• Load and unload trucks and organize materials in designated storage areas.
• Inspect materials and ensure they are secured and positioned.
• Assist with receiving, staging, and organizing inventory.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow all safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Communicate with warehouse and operations teams.
• Perform other general warehouse and material-handling duties as assigned.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
