Job summary

Drake-Williams Steel, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Material Handler in Omaha, NE to fill customer orders and assemble shipments of fabricated and warehouse bar. You will receive and unload materials, locate inventory, and move items using overhead cranes, forklifts, and conveyors.

The role requires reading shop drawings, maintaining accuracy, and performing arithmetic calculations. The position is 2nd shift (3:15 P.M. - 1:45 A.M.) with 40 hours+ per week and safety PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Basic arithmetic including fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret cut lists, shop orders, and shop drawings.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and communicate with team members.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders and assemble shipments of bar and other materials.
• Receive and unload incoming material from suppliers.
• Identify materials, locate in inventory, and prep for shipping.
• Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and conveyors to move materials.
• Inspect shop drawings for discrepancies before/during fabrication.
• Attend meetings and work scheduled hours reliably.
