Job summary

Delta Steel is seeking Material Handlers with overhead crane experience to support warehouse and production operations in a night shift role. The position offers differential pay, full-time hours, overtime opportunities, a profit incentive, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will move and stage steel materials using 10–20 ton cranes, support production per work orders, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of overhead crane experience preferred.
• Experience in a steel service center or fabrication environment is a plus.
• Ability to operate remote-controlled crane safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate remote-controlled overhead cranes (10–20 ton) to move steel materials.
• Load, unload, and transport steel beams, plate, and other materials.
• Build and stage customer orders based on work orders and production requirements.
• Maintain material locations for efficient workflow.
• Ensure materials are identified, tagged, and handled properly.
• Assist operators and production teams by supplying materials as needed.
• Inspect cranes and equipment daily and report safety/maintenance concerns.
