Job summary

Responsibilities include fabricating metal stairs and ladders from blueprints, operating saws and welders, interpreting drawings, inspecting work, coordinating with project managers, and maintaining a clean, safe work area

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in metal fabrication, preferably miscellaneous steel.
• Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW); welding certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good time-management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in an industrial setting.
• Dependable, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal stairs, ladders, and other structural components using blueprints and shop drawings.
• Operate saws, shears, press brakes, welding machines, and grinders.
• Interpret shop tickets, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
• Perform metal layout, cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing.
• Inspect completed work to verify accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and fellow fabricators to complete work on schedule.
• Identify fabrication problems and help develop effective solutions.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety procedures.
• Adjust to changing assignments and project deadlines without compromising quality.
