MET-CON, Inc. is seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication QC Inspector for our Cocoa, Florida facility. The role focuses on in-process and final inspections to ensure structural steel meets AWS D1.1/D1.5 and project specs.

Candidates should have 3–5 years in structural steel inspection, be able to read shop drawings, and hold welding certification. The position operates on 2nd shift with potential OT as needed.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to work 2nd shift at our Cocoa, Florida facility.

Aufgaben

• Perform and document daily inspections of fabricated structural steel in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 requirements.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated materials.
• Verify dimensional layouts and part placement against shop drawings.
• Ensure fabricated materials meet approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Identify, document, and assist with the resolution of non-conforming work.
• Work with production teams to address quality concerns and maintain production standards.
• Participate in annual AISC quality control audits.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure thorough documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality and fabrication processes.
• Perform additional QC duties as assigned by management and work overtime as required.

MET-CON is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Steel Fabrication QC Inspectors to join our team!

• Pay: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour (will be based on experience)
• Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday | 6 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (OVT required as needed)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive movements throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and maneuver materials and tools as required, with appropriate assistance or lifting equipment.
• Comfortable working in an industrial fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to safely use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
