Job summary

Big Top Manufacturing in Perry, Florida is seeking a Steel Fabrication Operator to join our production team. You will produce and inspect fabrications, read sketches, and ensure parts meet quality standards.

This role requires ability to operate hand tools, perform precise measurements, and follow safety procedures. Regular hours are Mon–Fri with overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work history or honorable military discharge preferred.
• Ability to read complex sketches and verify measurements.
• Capable of lifting heavy items and standing during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all parts are produced on time and are of good quality.
• Read and verify complex sketches prior to producing parts. Check pieces in process against sketches.
• Verify the tube size matches the sketch before running.
• Measure and accurately mark tubing for production.
• Accurately count number of pieces ran.
• Minimize material waste.
• Responsible for care and preventive maintenance of the equipment in use.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report violations, accidents and near misses to supervisor.
• Assist in the training of new personnel on safety, production, and quality standards and procedures.
• Follow instructions given by supervisor.
• Responsible for housekeeping in your area and the entire facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
