Job summary

Doing Steel Fabrication, LLC is seeking an entry-level Machine Operator 1 to join our steel fabrication team. You will learn to operate a variety of machines, read blueprints, and follow safety protocols to produce quality parts.

The role emphasizes teamwork and the ability to work independently, with mandatory Lockout/Tagout training and a focus on safe, efficient production in a fast-paced shop environment. 10-hour shifts, day or second shift, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, sketches or other specifications.
• Able to adhere to all safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Operates mobile crane equipment and directs rigging and hoisting of equipment.
• Sets up and operates machines to make production parts to standard shop blueprints.
• Performs grinding and painting as required by production specifications.
• Operates machines with minimal skills such as presses, shears, saws, rolls.
• Assists with warehouse activities including receiving and inventory.
• Collaborates with warehouse, production, and logistics teams for safe loading/unloading.
• Ensures safe, timely loading and unloading processes.
• Trains coworkers to promote efficient performance within safety rules.
