Job summary

Big Top, a Perry, Florida-based manufacturer, is seeking a FICEP Operator to support the Hardware/Finishing team. You will read sketches, set-up and operate the FICEP to produce angled parts accurately, and help maintain safety and quality in production.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–5:00 pm with overtime as needed. After 60 days, health, dental and vision insurance are employer-paid, and a 401(k) with company match plus additional benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of work history or military service.
• Basic math and ability to read a tape measure to 1/16".

Responsibilities

• Ensure all parts are produced on time and are of good quality.
• Read and verify complex sketches prior to producing parts. Verify that the angle size and thickness match the sketch before running.
• Accurately count number of pieces produced.
• Efficiently operate the FICEP to ensure that the angle parts are accurately drawn out for production.
• Keep Hardware and Weld Shop stocked with department-specific parts.
• Keep angle warehouse stocked. Order stocked parts when low and specialty metals in advance.
• Minimize material waste.
• Responsible for care and preventive maintenance of the equipment in use.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report violations, accidents, and near misses to the supervisor.
• Assist in the training of new personnel on safety, production, and quality standards and procedures.
