Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Millwright for our steel fabrication team in Jackson, MS. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in industrial maintenance or mechanical installation, with a strong mechanical aptitude and safety focus.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and relocate heavy machinery, read blueprints, and collaborate with maintenance and production to maximize uptime. This on-site role offers competitive pay and benefits based on experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as millwright or in industrial maintenance or mechanical technician roles.
• Experience in steel fabrication or heavy equipment environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on fabrication equipment and conveyors.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
• Read blueprints and technical manuals; interpret work orders.
• Inspect machinery for potential issues and replace components as needed.
• Assist with upgrades, relocations, and equipment installations.
• Operate forklifts, aerial lifts, rigging equipment, and cranes safely.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations; minimize downtime.
