Job summary

MEI Industrial Solutions in Jackson, MS is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our full-time field operations team. You will build, repair, and maintain machinery at client sites or plants, using rigging, hoists, and hand/power tools while following safety protocols.

The role requires at least 4 years of millwright experience, blueprint literacy, and the ability to supervise crew when needed. A valid driver’s license and physical readiness are expected.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalence required.
• Four years of millwright experience required.
• Ability to supervise and direct others.
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics/technical manuals.
• Competence with precision measuring tools and various hand/power tools.
• Familiarity with signals (hand/flag) for hoisting and moving.
• Willingness to follow safety requirements and PPE.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain machinery using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Align, level, and anchor equipment per specifications.
• Dismantle machinery and prepare for shipment or relocation.
• Inspect materials and ensure safety and reliability.
• Communicate clearly with the team using signals and direct supervision.
• Follow safety requirements and wear PPE.
• Perform maintenance, fabrication, and rigging tasks as needed.
