The role focuses on reflecting current market conditions, material costs, labor rates, and production capabilities, guiding bidding decisions and project planning while maintaining safety and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in steel fabrication or manufacturing estimating.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, fabrication processes, and manufacturing workflows.
• Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Review engineering drawings and documents to determine scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead.
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing and delivery timelines.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast costs and identify risks or savings opportunities.
• Communicate with project managers and clients to clarify project details and adjust estimates.
• Maintain estimating databases and documentation for accuracy and consistency.
• Support bidding with proposals and bid reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in estimating.
