• Proficiency in blueprint reading and project estimation.
• Ability to determine material and labor costs accurately.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Degree in a relevant field preferred; professional certification a plus.

Aufgaben

• Analyze blueprints and documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services as the project develops.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or foremen to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Conduct studies to develop standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost‑effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Accurately input costs for proposals and performing an accurate and detailed estimate from drawings for small to large miscellaneous metal projects.
