Job summary

PDM is seeking an estimator who can produce job files quickly and accurately after a job has been awarded. You will develop conceptual price, schedule, and scope, and support steel estimating processes and resources.

The role requires reading blueprints, using Word and Excel, and potentially AutoCAD; two years of estimating experience in construction are expected. You will collaborate on bid reviews, subcontractor communications, and hand-offs to project teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel; AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Steel Sales
• Participate in bid reviews/peer reviews
• Support bid calendar
• Provide VE assistance to clients
• Conceptual price, schedule, and scope development
• Support steel estimating processes and resources
• Subcontractor & supplier communications
• Perform steel estimating/take-offs
• Prepare proposals
• Support metals long range schedule
• Support project management/manage small projects
• Change Oder pricing support & estimate updates
• Lead project hand-offs
• Maintain bid results
