Job summary

Trinity Search Group is seeking a Steel Estimator for an on-site role in Ponder, TX, supporting a backlog of structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects exceeding $1 million.

The ideal candidate will analyze drawings, develop competitive estimates, and collaborate with operations teams to transition awarded projects successfully.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience within structural steel, miscellaneous metals, ornamental metals, or commercial steel fabrication.
• Experience estimating projects valued at $1 million or greater.
• Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and ornamental steel projects.
• Review architectural and structural plans and specifications.
• Perform material takeoffs and labor calculations.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare change order pricing and value engineering proposals.
• Coordinate with project management and fabrication teams during project turnover.
• Manage multiple estimates while meeting bid deadlines.
