Job summary

Comunidade Metodista is seeking a Structural Steel Estimator to join our pre-construction team. This fully remote role covers the complete bid lifecycle for Division 5 steel, from scope review to final submission.

You will analyze ITBs, perform take-offs using Bluebeam Revu, model costs, and coordinate with vendors and General Contractors. A disciplined, self-driven work style is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience estimating Structural and Miscellaneous Steel (Division 5).
• Education in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Bid Analysis & Setup: Review ITBs and project drawings to define full scope and identify discrepancies.
• Digital Take-Offs: Use Bluebeam Revu for precise quantities of structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
• Cost Modeling: Build estimates with shop labor, field time, and equipment costs; obtain material quotes.
• Vendor & Client Communication: RFIs to Architects/Engineers and follow-ups with general contractors.
• Data Management: Enter take-off data and line items into the estimating system.
• Weekly Alignment: Prepare status reports for Thursday 9:30 AM EST team meeting.
