Job summary

G-10 Construction LLC in Utah is seeking an Estimator to support steel erection operations, including bids for structural steel, PEMBs, and miscellaneous steel across commercial and industrial markets. You will analyze plans and bid documents to develop cost estimates, identify risks, and support strategic project pursuit.

This role works closely with project management, field leadership, and the executive team to ensure bids align with capabilities, profitability goals, and market conditions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of estimating experience (steel or construction preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Experience with Excel and estimating software (Procore, Bluebeam).
• Knowledge of steel erection, rigging, or field operations is a plus.
• Self-starter who takes ownership and gets things done.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate bids for structural steel, PEMBs, and misc. metals.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Build labor, equipment, and material estimates.
• Solicit and level subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost exposures.
• Work closely with PMs, Supers, and leadership on bid strategy.
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines without losing accuracy.
• Support smooth handoff of awarded projects to operations.

Overview

G10 Construction is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Estimator to support our growing steel erection operations. This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive bids for structural steel, pre-engineered metal buildings, and miscellaneous steel projects across commercial and industrial markets.

The Estimator plays a critical role in project success by analyzing plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop cost estimates, identify risks, and support strategic project pursuit. This position works closely with project management, field leadership, and executive team members to ensure bids align with company capabilities, profitability goals, and market conditions.
