Leapros is actively seeking a Steel Erector in Green Bay, WI to assemble and install structural steel frameworks. The role requires experience with connecting, bolting, and welding steel components per precise engineering specs.

This contract position involves reading blueprints, rigging, crane operations, and adherence to safety protocols while working at heights. Competitive hourly pay is offered with BOE.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Erector or Ironworker on commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to read structural blueprints and engineering diagrams.
• Experience with structural welding and mechanical fastening techniques.
• Knowledge of rigging procedures and lifting hardware.
• Ability to work effectively within a crew to meet deadlines and safety goals.

Responsibilities

• Unload and position structural steel components using cranes and rigging equipment.
• Align and anchor steel members to form a complete framework.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine placement of components.
• Connect steel members with bolts, rivets, or welding as specified.
• Install metal decking and grating to support the structure.
• Operate aerial lifts, forklifts, and scissor lifts to move materials.
• Inspect structures for alignment and safety compliance.
• Follow fall protection and safety protocols when working at height.
