Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Steel Erector in Green Bay, WI. We are seeking a skilled Steel Erector to join our construction team in Green Bay, WI, for the assembly and installation of structural steel frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in connecting, bolting, and welding steel components according to precise engineering specifications.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30 to $42 Per Hour BOE

Responsibilities:

• Unload and position structural steel components using cranes and rigging equipment.
• Align and anchor steel members including beams, girders, and columns to form a complete framework.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the correct placement of structural components.
• Connect steel members using bolts, rivets, or various welding techniques as specified in the project plans.
• Install metal decking and grating to support the structural integrity of the build.
• Operate heavy machinery such as aerial lifts, forklifts, and scissor lifts to move materials and access work areas.
• Inspect assembled structures for alignment and structural stability to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Utilize fall protection systems and follow rigorous safety protocols while working at significant heights.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steel Erector or Ironworker on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency in reading structural blueprints, diagrams, and engineering specifications.
• Demonstrated skill in structural welding and mechanical fastening techniques.
• Strong knowledge of rigging procedures and the use of lifting hardware.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a crew to meet project deadlines and safety goals.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights and maintain balance on structural beams and scaffolding.
• Capability to lift and carry heavy materials frequently exceeding 50 pounds.
• Stamina to perform physical tasks including climbing, bending, and kneeling for extended shifts.
• Comfort working in outdoor environments and various weather conditions.

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated pay range for this position is $30 to $42 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
