Job summary

Sure Steel, Inc. in Montgomery, AL, is seeking a Project Engineer to provide technical support and coordinate construction projects, bridging project management, engineering, and field operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality throughout the lifecycle from pre-construction to closeout.

You will assist with scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and quality assurance, maintain critical documentation such as RFIs and submittals, review drawings and specifications, and prepare progress

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating complex construction projects.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Strong documentation skills for RFIs, submittals, change orders and meeting minutes.
• Experience supporting progress reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support project execution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Support the preparation of progress reports and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
