Job summary

Sure Steel, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer I to support project management across planning, design coordination, procurement, and construction oversight within our steel fabrication projects.

You will assist with developing plans, schedules, budgets, reviewing drawings, coordinating with architects and contractors, and ensuring compliance with standards. This role offers growth in structural engineering and hands-on experience in the field.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role in structural engineering within construction.
• Experience with planning, design coordination, procurement and oversight is beneficial.
• Ability to review drawings and resolve design issues with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate project execution.
• Review drawings and design documents to identify issues and resolve challenges.
• Assist in coordination of structural steel design, detailing, and erection plans.
• Support procurement activities, including material take-offs and purchase orders.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to expedite delivery and maintain inventory records.
• Assist in site inspections and construction oversight to monitor progress and ensure compliance.
• Conduct quality assurance checks of structural steel components.
• Maintain project documentation and correspondence for accessibility.
• Prepare and distribute project reports, progress updates, and meeting minutes.
