Job summary

EDMO in Sacramento is seeking an After School Instructor to deliver our EDMO STEAM/SEL curriculum, mentor students, and help kids uncover hidden talents while fostering curiosity, collaboration, and kindness.

You will train on our curriculum, manage classrooms, communicate with parents professionally, supervise activities, and ensure a safe, energetic environment where learning and fun go hand in hand.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with groups of students.
• Completion or willingness to complete the Instructional Assistant Exam; waiver with higher degree.
• Three positive work/character references.
• Livescan and TB test.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Approach education with passion and build positive relationships with students.
• Refine curriculum and contribute as seen fit.
• Interact with parents professionally and energetically.
• Help cultivate self-esteem and love for learning.
• Manage supply inventory, bin prep and cleanup.
• Maintain attendance records, notes, logs and incident reports.
• Lead engaging activities that promote teamwork and physical activity.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development.
• Ensure all students are safe and have a positive experience.
• Demonstrate SEL skills in daily practice with students and staff.
