Con Edison is seeking an Operator Mechanic to operate boilers, turbines and generators, and to perform maintenance in a steam generating station. The role includes qualifying in station operating positions, handling high-voltage switching, and working with fuel delivery and water treatment systems.

The candidate will perform heavy manual labor and adapt to rotating shift schedules, with expectation of maintaining safe and efficient plant operations within a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in power plant operations or maritime industrial environments.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Operate boilers, turbines, generators, and related equipment in a steam generating station.
• Perform mechanical maintenance and heavy manual labor as needed to support plant operations.
• Qualify in all station operating positions, including Rover and Control Room assignments, and perform high-voltage electrical switching.
• Work with steam production systems, boiler feed pumps and fans, turbine-generators and related equipment, water treatment and fuel delivery systems.
• Work rotating shifts and perform operational and maintenance duties as required.
