Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. (Con Edison) is seeking an Operating Supervisor at the East River Generating Station to lead safe, reliable plant operations.

You will supervise startup/shutdown, manage personnel, enforce procedures, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with System Operations. A power-plant background and supervisory experience are essential for this role in New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 years' experience in power plant operations.
• Associate's Degree with 4 years' experience.
• High School Diploma with 5 years' experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 3 years' powerplant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly with team and stakeholders.
• Utilize mainframe and PC applications to manage data.
• Prepare and maintain records within the job scope.
• Ensure good housekeeping across responsibilities.
• Develop personnel to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise startup/shutdown of equipment and ensure safe operation.
• Coordinate with System Operations and CIG for reports.
• Administer maintenance memos, work permits, and orders.
• Determine disciplinary actions and evaluate subordinates' performance.
