Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Steam Ops at the East 74th Street Station in New York. You will lead a skilled team in safe, compliant operation of plant systems, overseeing repairs, maintenance, and overhauls of boilers, pumps, motors, and related equipment to keep energy flowing reliably.

The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience, familiarity with maintenance management systems (Maximo/Oracle), and a proven ability to manage contractors while maintaining safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 4–5+ years in power plant/merchant shipping environments recommended.
• Associates degree with relevant experience acceptable; higher degrees preferred for engineering roles.
• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years relevant experience; engineering degree preferred for supervisory boiler/plant roles.
• Knowledge of Maximo, Oracle, and office software is beneficial for maintenance management and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union and contractor personnel, assign work, monitor performance, and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Manage contractor engagements, quotes, POs in Oracle, and requisitions per CAM guidelines.
• Ensure compliance by maintaining contractor packages per procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Improve safety and productivity by following work rules and station priorities.
• Maintain maintenance logs and documentation in Maximo and other systems.
• Collaborate with planning to refine work plans and schedules; participate in daily management meetings.
• Plan and coordinate repair/overhaul work on boilers, pumps, motors, and auxiliary equipment.
• Safeguard data and confidentiality; handle historical records securely.
