Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Comfort in growth-focused coaching with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with teachers to interpret abilities and disabilities and tailor intervention strategies.
• Modify general education curricula as needed and assist with classwork.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and draft IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional progress.
• Assist with planning and implementing non-instructional activities such as events and field trips.
