Centennial Academy is seeking a Teacher (Grades K-5) to plan, organize, and implement instructional strategies through a Project-based Learning environment rich in STEAM education.

The role emphasizes integrating technology, participating in ongoing professional development, and fostering family and community engagement while delivering rigorous lessons and assessing student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Georgia Certification (T4-T7) is required.
• If Georgia Certification has not been acquired, provide GACE completion assessment data with proficient rating in area(s) of teaching field.
• Collaboration within curriculum and instruction to design and implement Project-based Learning and STEAM instruction.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provides content-related instruction based on PBL and STEAM curriculum.
• Integrates intentional technology into classroom instruction.
• Participates in professional learning in PBL/STEAM to support innovation.
• Creates a classroom environment that promotes active learning.
• Demonstrates performance-based instruction and assessment knowledge.
• Communicates with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
• Facilitates home-school communication via conferences, calls, and written communications.
• Plans and delivers rigorous and engaging lessons.
• Collaborates with parents/guardians in the student's educational program.
• Prepares for duties in case of absence and monitors punctuality.
• Follows county, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Maintains professional ethics and supports staff morale.
