Job summary

CCPS - Hening Elementary School seeks an innovative STEAM educator to support K-5 across multiple content areas. You will collaborate with teachers to weave STEAM into lessons, coach staff on integration, and help lead school STEAM initiatives and events.

The role requires Virginia elementary teaching licensure and a strong background in project-based learning, data-informed instruction, and technology-enabled teaching. This is a full-time, on-site position with supportive district resources.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Virginia Elementary Ed PreK-6 license.
• Master's degree in education preferred.
• Experience delivering project-based STEAM learning to K-5 students.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to develop STEAM curriculum aligned with Virginia standards.
• Coach classroom teachers on effective STEAM integration and modeling.
• Lead STEAM Committee and coordinate STEAMmania activities.
• Support staff with STEAM instruction and data-driven improvements.
• Deliver project-based STEAM lessons and monitor program effectiveness.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to STEAM education.
