LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking a highly qualified 5th Grade Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction for upper elementary students. You will plan lessons, differentiate for diverse learners, and monitor progress using data to inform instruction.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families, specialists, and leadership to support student achievement and a strong STEM/STEAM focus in a 10-month contracted position starting at $60,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Valid New Jersey DOE teaching certification with elementary endorsement.
• Experience teaching upper elementary preferred.
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and student development.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned instruction for 5th grade.
• Establish a safe, inclusive, and challenging classroom environment.
• Differentiate instruction to meet individual learning needs.
• Monitor student progress with ongoing assessments and adjust instruction.
