Job summary

St. Martin Parish School District seeks a STEAM Coordinator (Arts Focus) for the St Martin Steam Academy to lead whole-school STEAM arts integration; responsible for rollout, collaboration with teachers, and professional learning.

The role requires a bachelor's degree (master's preferred), Louisiana teaching license, and four years in STEM/arts integration, with strong coaching and data-informed instruction; travel to district sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in STEAM arts integration and project rollout across a school
• Proven ability to coach teachers and support curriculum implementation
• Experience delivering professional development to educators
• Familiarity with data-informed instruction and assessment design
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and arts integration pedagogy

Responsibilities

• Lead the rollout of whole-school STEAM arts integration across the magnet school.
• Communicate and collaborate with teachers to facilitate the smooth implementation of the arts-infused STEAM program at the magnet school.
• Assist school team with the development of arts content integrated across core academic subjects, incorporating research-based approaches.
• Collaborate with the Project Director to assess and identify professional development needs of staff at the magnet school(s).
• Work with artists in residence to provide coaching and professional learning.
• Deliver job-embedded professional development to educators and other staff.
• Empower teachers to develop competency with interdisciplinary arts-integrated approaches via in-class coaching and co-teaching.
• Other duties as assigned.
